Angie Benson, (Team Lead at South Repro Centre & Outpatient Clinic)

Angie comes from a farm community near Riding Mountain, Manitoba. She moved to Alberta and worked with harness race horses which led to a love of pleasure driving. Angie started with Moore Equine Veterinary Centre in 2009 and works with Dr. Berezowski at Moore Equine South.

Bonnie Danielson-Keller, AHT

Bonnie graduated from Fairview College in 1999. She then worked at Edmonton Equine Veterinary Services for 3 years as a Senior Technician and surgery anesthetist. Bonnie then came to work at Moore Equine Veterinary Centre in 2002. She is now Moore’s Head Surgery Technician and is responsible for surgery rotations, anesthesia, as well as general patient care. Bonnie spent numerous years as a ‘gallop girl’ in both quarter horse and thoroughbred racing industries. Her love of racing continues, as well as her enjoyment of riding her own horses.

Karmin George, AHT (Team Lead)

Karmin George is a Saskatchewan farm girl who graduated from SIAST in 1993. She has been with Moore Equine since 2000 and her role has grown over the years. Karmin is currently in charge of the our facility’s pharmacy and inventory.

Sandy Gerencer, Technician Assistant

Sandy Gerencer started with Moore Equine in September 2005. Sandy is currently Moore’s Barn Manager and is in charge of our Laboratory and running our blood work. Along with many other duties, she assists in Radiology and Nuclear Scintigraphy.

Kendra Martland, AHT

Kendra graduated from the Olds College AHT program in June 2010 and joined Moore Equine in May of 2012. Kendra works primarily in clinic, assisting with many aspects of the practice including general patient care, anesthesia, MRI, and is the primary Nuclear Scintigraphy technician. In her spare time Kendra finds great success showing her Spanish Norman gelding “Monty”.

Rachel Matthews, Technician Assistant

Rachel has been working with our clinic since March of 2012. Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Rachel moved to the Calgary area 6 years ago. She currently works as an ambulatory technician with Dr. Dennis Rach. Rachel enjoys working with draft horses and riding on the ranch where she resides, west of Airdrie.

William Paull, Technician Assistant

William was born in Vancouver where he got his start in the horse industry at Hastings Park Race Course. A graduate of Olds College, Will has a particular interest in rehabilitating dangerous or emotionally troubled horses. His other interests include boxing and theatre. Will currently resides in Airdrie, AB.

Georgia Kerunsky

Georgia graduated as an AHT form Olds College in 2010 and has been working with Moore Equine as Dr. Shawn Mattson’s technician since October 2012. In her spare time, Georgia enjoys show jumping with her horse, Aussie.

Sarah Freedman

Originally from Ontario, Sarah graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in 2008. Growing up training hunter/jumpers has instilled a passion for the equine athlete. Following her completion of the program, Sarah continued to pursue a career in equine medicine and began working at the Ontario Veterinary College. There she developed skills in various departments such as large animal surgery, radiology, and equine neonatal ICU. She joined the Moore team in the Spring of 2013, working alongside Dr. Mike Scott. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys hanging out with her Norwegian Fjord gelding, “Ran”.

Krystal Lohr

Krystal was raised on Vancouver Island where daily life revolved around breeding, raising, and showing Quarter Horses. After relocating to Alberta, Krystal attended Olds College where she completed a diploma in both the Equine Science Production & Breeding Management and Animal Health Technology programs. Krystal joined Moore Equine in 2014, working primarily as an ambulatory technician while gaining experience in many aspects of the practice. Now working alongside Dr. Fowlie, Krystal spends most of her days in the clinic and is completing her training in anesthesia. In her spare time Krystal enjoys riding her own horses both on the trails and in the show ring.

Abbey Aimer

Abbey joined the Moore Equine South team back in 2011 for the summers and is now full time working alongside Dr. Berezowski as his assistant since 2012.

Kenna Lockwood

Kenna has been an ambulatory assistant since she joined us in November of 2014 after having worked for Jonathan Asselin and Gail Greenough. In her spare time she enjoys riding her 2 horses, focusing her time on barrel racing.

Amanda Albrecht

Amanda was raised on a small farm west of Beiseker where horses were always apart of life. She attended Olds College where she completed her Animal Health Technology program in 2010. Amanda spent most of her AHT career in mixed animal practice in Carstairs, and had the opportunity to travel to Australia, where she worked at the Australian Zoo and Wildlife Hospital. Amanda joined the Moore Equine team in May 2016 and is working as an internal medicine technician alongside Dr. Ashley Whitehead and Dr. Renaud Leguillette. When not in the clinic, Amanda fills her time riding with a rodeo drill team and competing in cowboy challenge, playing ladies fastball or spending time with her family and 2 dogs.
